The Real Texas is just one of those games and also an example of why I love indie games. The game is, as stated on the website ‘ an action adventure game that plays like a mashup of Zelda: Link to the Past and Ultima VI. ’ and does it. However, does the The Real Texas live up to this statement? The Real Texas, created by  Calvin French , really does stand out from the sea of indie games for many good reason. From the unique, artistic blocky style which gives the game a warm and somewhat cute feel, to the well written and exquisitely planned out adventure. The game just has that enjoyable feeling to it. The adventure you undertake is a long and mysterious one with twists and turns at every point. This is where I was first surprised. When I heard about this game from twitter user  @S

Polarfox is a free desktop application for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux that lets you beautify, save and multi-post images to social networks, blogs and clouds. If there was ever a product summary that made sense, it was Polarfox App. Just as it says on the label, this wonderful desktop application lets you take any image you so wish to edit and share with stunning results across the board. At the core, Polarfox App is a simple program with simple ideas. You have two sets of editing options open to you. You can edit the image itself right away with changes such as hue and saturation. But where the app really stands out is the use of the many available filters it has to offer. If you wanted me to sum this up in a few words I would say that “Polarfox App does for desktops, what Instagram does for mobile, but better”. However, summing up Polarfox App in a nutshell isn’t fair. So

Trying to keep my personal life and work life apart has always been one of the hardest challenges for me.  In recent weeks the amount of work I have to do for projects and clients in always going up. For every one job I get done about two more come in. It's a slow battle which I'm losing. Even now, I have about four over due projects to finish. Life can be crazy huh?  But never fear, for I have good news. Soon I'll be back to blogging!  When I'm not sure, time is my enemy at the minute but I'll try and get back into blogging as soon as I can. Posts may be few and far between but I want to come back to it. So don't worry.  For now, It's back to waiting for the train...

As much as I don't want too, I'm going to have to take a small break.  The next three weeks are filled with exams and I didn't know just how much I have to do so, yeah. Busy busy.  I think rather then worring about keeping up with blog posts I will just leave it for the next few weeks and when I can, get some in a line ready to go out.  Sorry about this, I'll make up for it.  Now then. Time to hit these exams like a boss! 

Films are one of those media's I don't have time to enjoy as much these days. I'm some one who hates to be sat still for long periods or time and I enjoy doing many things at once. To watch a film isn't a bad thing, I just don't do it as often. However, when watching a film with someone, it's always fun. Lately I was able to start making a list of films to watch through and much like my ' Anime Progress ' I wanted to share it with you. This will be in the same format as ' Anime Progress ' so, let's get started.  Recently finished: Fight Club I was crying at the end of this, I was just that happy. Any normal person would tell you that they enjoyed this film or that maybe they didn't get it and so on. I have never seen Fight Club before until a few days ago after many people had told me to watch it. With no idea what it was about I jumped in thinking 'well, this better be good...' I've been very busy this past week dealing with a range of issues. From editing my final college video for three days non stop, living wtih a messed up ankle [I fell down some stairs] and Uni paper work, It's all mad.  I can at least walk again which is nice Fear not however for I will return to the normal ways soon. This week is my final hand in for my college work so right now, I'm writing out the posts I missed and a few others to then release over the week until next week, when I can start to blog more.  Being a student is a full time job. Along with the amount of side projects I run, It doesn't help with free time. None the less, I'm set on blogging as much as I can and for that reason I'm going to just start including everything. Snapshot Sunday for the dates of Monday 2nd April to Sunday 8th April. It's been a very busy week for me. Had to go into college for the start of the week to sit a few exams and talk to teachers, all that normal stuff. However, once that was out of the way It was the start of half term. This meant there was lots to do.  I always like to try and do as much as I can on personal work during breaks from my study.  Of course I can't start a day without something new to eat. I rarely have time for breakfast these days so come the holidays, I'll do my best to have some. Tea and crumpets has been my morning meal for the past week. Save all the data. I finally got round to backing up all my data on my many hard drives. Due to the amount of work I do at any given time I can having files and copies all over the place. Every half term I spend a whole day just getting everything sorted and in order, as well as up to date. 

As a huge fan of Anime and Manga, I work my way through a fair few different shows and series at a nice speed.  Recently however, due to exams, I've been a bit to busy to have time to watch as much anime as I would like, but I still get there. It's also the reason this post is a day late. So here is what I'm going to do, 'Anime Progress'!  This series of posts will showcase what anime's I am watching both currently and next planed. I may also touch on the one I just finished. These won't be reviews, but house a few small reasons as to why I am/have been watching it. Let's start. Recently finished: Nyan Koi Romantic Comedy ,  Supernatural A short but very sweet series this was. For a show that is a bit over the top is many areas I couldn't help myself but watch Nyan Koi and my gosh, was it good! Snapshot Sunday for the dates of Sunday 25th March to Sunday 1st April.  It's been a an odd week. From being ill to have exams, it's all an up and down ride. Last Sunday was good mind you... I spent the day with friends out and about enjoying the sun for the first time this year. We are all photographers at heart and love just capturing the world around us. My camera is the one at the front of that picture, a Nikon D5000.  Let's talk about food.  Noodles and cake, how can you not enjoy them? I have an odd liking for taking pictures of food. I think it's due to my mindset as a creative person and wanting to share what I see with people.  Food is something anyone can understand, no matter what language you speak. What do you think? For a long time, I've been trying to be a 'full time' blogger. I've failed a lot.  So to get around the common issues I have when blogging I'm going to set up a schedule. I really want to keep this blog going and I think this is the best way to do it. It gives you an idea of what this blog will host and lets me know what to write as well as how often. Subjects will include... Snapshot Sunday: Nice shot and sweet weekly post to just sum up the past week and some of the events that took place. Bit more of a personal post then anything.  Reviews: From Anime's, Manga's, Games, Films and more, I will do reviews on a whole range of things.  Product reports: I tend to get my hands on a lot of different products, being the nerd that I am. Doing break downs and reviews will be a common subject.  Yatta's workings: Being an editor of an every growing project is fun and being able to do some behind the scenes post will be fun. Ohayou gozaimasu!   Welcome one and all to the mind that is Nikholai-Chan and the blog that is Otaku.   I've run this blog for some time now but never really had a set theme. Until now!  You can look forward to many posts all around good old Otaku goodies and some great nerd related topics.
